It's a good thing people are so kind and patient and it's great meeting people from all over the world.
Filled with some of lee's beautiful painted papers.
I had a hard time picking one to work on, because they were all so inviting.
I did manage to find one =)
I added some acrylic paint and some stamps.
Free handed a girl with acrylic paint.
Found a quote to go with the theme: "What do you see when you look in the mirror."
After which I glued some circles onto the pages.
Got a little carried away and completely forgot to make progress pics...
So all I have for you are pictures of the completed spread.
I honestly couldn't tell you what I did on this page.
But I can tell you the quote I used =)
Life is a mirror and will reflect back to the thinker what he thinks into it.
-Ernest Holmes
I felt it was really fitting for this page, with it's almost dream like appearance... a little surreal.
Mostly I tend to sneek a peek at facebook and post some pictures there when I made a Traveler's Notebook or insert that I like, but sitting down and writing a blogpost, just wasn't something I could wrap my head around.
With making the waiting list I feel I have finally got everything back under control and I even started doing some art again.
So today I finally shipped the next art journal from the Round Robin on it's way to Tracy. It's Lee's journal, a beautiful bound book with a canvas cover and gorgeous painted papers inside. A joy to work in.
It arrived a while back.

The quote is by George Bernard Shaw:
You use a glass mirror to see your face; you use works of art to see your soul.
I'm not overly exited about my handwriting, but I do like the way the spread turned out.
I wanted the next spread to be completely different, so I picked a white page and started with Gesso on the white, unpainted, background.
After which I glued some circles onto the pages.

I rather like surreal, so I'm quite happy with it.
I hope you enjoyed watching these pages and I hope to be back soon with Susan's journal... and a new project I've embarked upon, called the Traveling Dori, but I'll tell you all about that when next we meet, since it's voyage hasn't started yet.
so beautiful Monique!
