As I am still in paper mode and my prima engraver paper pad was still out on my desk, I thought I would try some altered playing cards with this.
I also had some fimo clay pieces that I made with my stamps left, so I thought I would just play around a bit.
I distressed everything with my favorite distress ink pad, walnut stain. I think it works really well with this paper line. Actually, I think it works really well with almost everything.
I first covered the cards with a layer of golden matt gel medium, as it makes them a bit more receptive for whatever I might want to put on them. And then just had fun with embellishing the lot.
Here are some close ups of the cards. I think card no 1 is my favorite, because I really like the fimo embellisment and how the colors of the original card are still visible.
No 1
No 2
No 3
No 4
No 6
And all together =)
I like how they turned out and as I now have a lot of cards that cannot be used for card playing anymore, I guess I will be making more altered playing cards =)
Thank you all for watching and I wish you a wonderful day.

Monique...your ATCs are awesome! There is so much texture and dimension on each of them. I love your fimo clay pieces and how you've antiqued them. They blend in so perfectly to become part of your ATCs. Love all of the different torn papers, contrasting papers, inking and everything that has gone into each ATC. Beautiful! Thanks for sharing with with us at Simon Says Stamp and Show. <3 Candy
